This may sound harsh, but it’s the truth every aspiring winner should swallow: You’re not special! Growing up, I used to believe that somehow, things would work differently for me. That I’d get a pass, a shortcut, a miracle, that lines will somehow fall in pleasant places for me without me having to lift a finger. But life? Life humbled me quickly. I realised that struggle doesn’t skip anyone. It shows up on everyone’s doorstep whether you ordered for it or not – and knocks harder when you think you’re exempt.
