THE IN-BETWEEN

What really is this race called success?

Is it about the finish line—a destination you must reach?

Is it a place? A level? Or just an endless path you’re meant to run until your legs give way?

They often say the hardest part is starting—mustering the courage to begin.

But what comes next? What happens after you start?

No one talks about the In-between.

That vast, gritty middle ground between “I’m in” and “I made it.”

The in-between is where dreams go to be tested.

Where silence greets your effort.

Where the spotlight is off, and no one’s clapping.

But this is where character is forged.

Where discipline is refined.

Where your commitment is stretched beyond comfort.

See, starting challenges your desire.

But the in-between? It challenges your commitment.

How far are you willing to go for what you claim you want?

Because let’s face it: there’s no such thing as “nothing for something.”

Big dreams demand even bigger sacrifices.

And what makes the in-between so cruel is that sometimes, even when you give your all— blood, sweat, tears, even when you lose sleep, lose people, lose yourself— it still doesn’t feel like enough.

That’s why the in-between doesn’t reward the strongest, the smartest, or even the most talented.

It rewards the one who keeps going.

Even when it hurts.

Even when it’s irrational.

Even when it feels like progress is invisible.

One foot in front of the other—that’s the only way through.

There’s no audience here.

No applause for your discipline.

No cheers for your consistency.

But over time, atomic habits start to compound.

Quietly. Powerfully.

Until one day—you walk out the other side.

Some will call you a hero.

Some, an enemy.

Others will say you just got lucky.

But you will know.

You’ll know what you had to endure.

You’ll know you made it because you survived.

And survival, my friend… is winning.

So if you’re still in it—still running this race—

know that you’re not alone.

When the road feels muddy,

when your shoulders ache,

when your legs beg you to stop—

remember:

One foot in front of the other.

That’s the only guarantee.

That’s how you make it out.

Be the hero of your own story.

Don’t get crushed in the in-between.

Finish!
