Have you ever found yourself trapped in the “what-if loop” - constantly replaying past events or decisions wondering how things might have turned out differently? What if I’d taken that trade? What if I’d waited longer? What if I’d started trading sooner? What if I did this? What if I did that? 

It’s easy to get lost in these thoughts which later breed doubt and frustration, especially when you see others making progress. The pressure builds, the anxiety creeps in, and suddenly, you feel like you’re falling behind.

Trading makes these moments even more intense. The long hours of waiting for setups to align can be frustrating and filled with doubt. Sometimes, it feels like you’re in this alone— the loneliness, zero encouragement, just you against the markets. No one even understands where you are or what you’re doing and sometimes they even disregard you calling your journey a pipe dream. 

But here’s the thing—you can only work with what you have. And what you do have is the ability to show up, stay disciplined, and trust the process, no matter how stormy things get.

Next time your mind starts spiraling, remind yourself of this:


The only way forward is to take action.


Here’s how to reset and refocus:

1. Call out your thoughts—label the emotions instead of letting them control you.

2. List productive ways to handle them.

3. Choose the best course of action.

4. Get back to work. If there’s a setup, take it. If not, refine your process and stay prepared.


Not every trade will be a winner, but that’s not the point.
